Quality has several dimensions: reception, speed, reliability, account management and how problems are handled. A single star rating or complaint story cannot represent all of them.
Check the relevant details
Use independent research with a visible reporting period and method. Ofcom normalises its published complaint data by customer-base size. These are complaints made to the regulator, not every issue raised with a provider or a technical coverage score.
Look for the important distinction
The latest complaint release checked here was published on 26 October 2026 and concerns April–June 2026. O2 and Sky Mobile generated the most pay-monthly mobile complaints; EE, giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Three, Vodafone and iD Mobile generated the fewest.
What this means for your decision
This comparison covers the providers and service category in that report. It does not rank every small brand, PAYG account or postcode. Ofcom’s separate customer-service report, reissued in September 2026, covers experiences in 2024. Check the underlying period before interpreting a publication date.
Complaint data, customer satisfaction and a technical coverage test are separate kinds of evidence. A provider omitted from a report cannot be assigned a result from that omission.
